FDA Approves Device to Help Detect Autism in Children

The FDA recently approved a device to help primary care physicians detect Autism in children. This development could make it possible to detect Autism in children earlier eliminating the wait time to see a specialist.

“The machine learning-based software uses an algorithm to analyze data submitted by parents and health care providers in order to return a “positive for ASD” or “negative for ASD” response for a child.”
